We're in the Diocese of Norwich, part of the Benefice of Dickleburgh and Pulham and situated within the County of Norfolk. The Parish has a population of approx 1,000 people, the main industry is agriculture, and a small number of independent businesses. The City of London is about 90 minutes away by train via the local town of Diss. The City of Norwich is 20 minutes by car, a fast growing center for commerce. Within the Parish a development of 65 houses has been built by Wimpy Homes on the Old Mill site.
A village School and near by at Burston another small family and friendly atmosphered school.
The Parish boasts strong links with USAF and RAF with bases at Thorpe Abbots, 100th Bomb Group, Lakenheath and Mildenhall. Many airmen were based around Dickleburgh during WW Two.
We have a large church within our parish, All Saint's Church.
All Saint's is a Norman/medieval church, it has just celebrated the Quinn - centenary of the nave as it still remains, what is left of the rood screen and three church bells, all of which date back to 1495/1496 when John Bulman was the first sole Rector of Dickleburgh. The church holds 300 people and we're able to accommodate both traditional and modern tastes in worship.
The Rector for Dickleburgh and therefore the whole Benefice of Dickleburgh and Pulham is the Rev'd. Janice Scott.
We have a Village Centre used by many and run by a very active Sports and Social Club, if you would like to know more please drop us a line
We have one church hall with Benefice Office which has been converted from a old school using a National Lottery Grant.
